When we go to the hearing centers or hearing clinics, people with hearing loss always ask for the audiologist before they get a hearing aid: How long will the   hearing aid   last? The answer to this question is usually 5 to 8 years. In fact, even if the same hearing aids are used by different people, their “life” are varies greatly. Some people may wear their hearing aids for 2 or 3 years before the hearing aids start to be overhauled, the shell is damaged, the sound is distorted and the hearing aids have to be replaced; but Some people may wear their hearing aids for 10 years, and the hearing aids still look intact and sound good. HOW HEARING WORKS TO PEOPLE

Normal ear functions Hearing is an important sense to your everyday life. From alarms to important conversations throughout the day, our sense of hearing is important to communicating information. The way the auditory system works is incredibly complex and requires a number of functions to work properly, including:  1.Sound is transmitted through the air as sound waves from the environment. The sound waves are gathered by the outer ear and sent down the ear canal to the eardrum. 2.The sound waves cause the eardrum to vibrate, which sets the three tiny bones in the middle ear into motion. 3.The motion of the three bones causes the fluid in the inner ear, or cochlea, to move. 4.The movement of the fluid in the inner ear causes the hair cells in the cochlea to bend. The hair cells change the movement into electrical impulses. 5.These electrical impulses are transmitted to the hearing (auditory) nerve and up to the brain, where they are interpreted as sound.   The function of different ear
